Clive Palmer Profile ///

'Win-tor' mounted linocut £30

I'm Clive Palmer and I live in the beautiful city of Wells in Somerset where my studio overlooks the Somerset Levels with it's backdrop of Glastonbury and it's magical Tor.

'Chapter house steps & mice' mounted linocut £30

The inspiration for my printmaking comes from the surrounding area and a desire to see "how that would look in Lino".

'Angels trumpets' mounted linocut £30

Linocut is a relief printing technique where a block of lino is cut and oil or water based printing ink is rolled over the block and the image is then transferred to paper using a hand operated press. Each colour printed is layering from light to dark. At the end of the print process the lino block is reduced to the remains of the last colour. With this technique the editions cannot be reproduced.

'The swan' mounted linocut £30

My edition sizes are usually small, each edition being 10 to 20 original hand numbered and signed prints. Due to the nature of linocut each print is an original artwork and therefore will slightly differ from print to print.

'Tor' mounted linocut £30

The prints are produced on acid free board or local hand made rag paper depending on the printing method and the number of colour layers.
